Went by TimO's today. Four blocks away by street number but further than I usually ever walk to
deliver a slice of storebought apple pie.

He brought a new fossil home from a fishing trip. A big sea shell from long ago.

He's got some hella big crocuses (or croci).
This one is over a foot tall.

We opted not to use the beer can for scale in this pristine setting.

TimO doesn't get out much, so is going to fertilize all the croci in the neighborhood.

No more pictures.

Well, taking time off keeps me close to home, so here's the front yard. They're not eating dandelions!!

I did take a look at the McAfee property for sale up in Teller County. I went through a couple of open gates and toward the end there were several closely spaced big houses and 'lots for sale' signs on each side of the road. The road followed a ridge with views of Pikes Peak or Woodland Park and the South Platte valley beyond. When I got to to the 'Private Road' sign, well there was more room to turn around in the parking lots beyond the gate than the narrow road behind me, so...

The view from the gazebo is WP and Rampart Range. From this parking lot I could see the large Equipment Building or Mechanic/Carpenter Shop. The roof of the main house was just visible as I turned around to leave.

Next to this possibly 'final gate' was a small building I couldn't comprehend. Also nearby was a 'small' building with (judging from the huge muffler) a monster generator.

This is how I got there. Time sure flies, I realized I hadn't been on Edlowe Rd in a long time when I saw all the new stuff. Mostly gates. But the Catamount Preserve does give public access. Parking Lot, Trailhead and big aspens. Nice.

The Mailomatic page is so nineties, I figured I should move on up and start a blog. Could be a while before I get all the bugs out and get it looking like I want, but here goes.

About Me

My photo
Driving around town with a camera. But I get personal too. Bring your cane, walker, wheelchair or rope. There may be a liberal slant.
